About Lenoch's Mountainscapes I grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa and as a result learned very early that honesty, dependability, attention to detail, follow-up and hard work get you everywhere. The New York Yankees signed me into their farm club out of high school and I spent the first three years playing pro ball. I went on to graduate from the University of Florida and I owe my career to both my parents and that University. After graduation, I spent the next 31 years with Honeywell Inc. During my last several years, I served as Director of Engineering and Location Manager for their Technical Center in Irvine, CA. We designed, manufactured and distributed home and commercial security systems all over the world. Our division revenue was only $250 million per year, yet our location was the world leader in the security industry at that time. After early retirement from Honeywell, I spent another four years as the Executive Director of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce. During the first 12 years of my career at Honeywell, I started a lawn maintenence service in St. Petersburg Florida. This service became one of the largest lawn maintenence services in that area in less than 5 years. Eventually I was faced with the decision of either taking the lawn service to another level or working for Honeywell. I chose the latter and sold the business. I thoroughly enjoy working with landscaping and I have a talent for making a piece of property look its best. I have been active in Big Bear landscape designs and maintenence since my wife and I moved here over four years ago!
